Episode 17 – Remembering Ayrton Senna
May 1, 1994. A day that will forever be remembered as one of the most darkest days in the history of Formula 1 and motor racing as a whole.
Ayrton Senna, a three time Formula 1 World Champion in 1988, 1990 and 1991, tragically lost his life at the San Marino Grand Prix, casting an even darker shadow on an already tragic weekend, following the death of Austrian driver Roland Ratzenberger the day before.
In a special edition of The Motor Dream Podcast, we pay tribute to one of the greatest drivers in Formula 1 history. We also chat with two people who worked closely with the Brazilian - former press officer for Williams Racing, Ann Bradshaw and broadcaster Steve Rider, who hosted the live coverage for the BBC on that fateful day.
